Help!!!! Please!!!

Dear Friends,

I have found a new love in life - something I love way more than my mom, my dad and way more than my stinky sister. They are a wonderful and most tasty treat - BITER BISCUITS!!!!
There is a small problem. My mommy thinks that they are the most disgusting things in the entire world. She cannot stand to touch them after I have licked all over them. She also is not fond of the fact that I have to have a "big bath" after I have one because I have goo from head to toe!!
Since I am only 6, almost 7 months old I cannot drive to the store to and get these myself. I really need some help getting these - PLEASE!!!

Love,

Carter

Time for an update......

WOW - so much has happened since my last post. Needless to say we have been very busy at the Cook house!!

We had a very wonderful Christmas. We got to enjoy lots of time together. The kids even got to see snow. Katelyn had so much fun building Fro-Fro with daddy. We were not able to see all of our family because we had so much snow and they were not able to travel or did not want us to travel.

Track season started in January and has kept Jerrod very busy. His throwers are doing well and showing what a great coach can do for you!!!

Katelyn is growing like a weed!!! She keeps us on our toes at all times. Right now she LOVES Mickey Mouse and all his friends. If I ever need a few minutes to get something done I can turn on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and not here from her for a while. She is saying new words all the time. Some are very clear while others yo have to use your imagination to understand what she is saying. It is really funny to see her look at pictures of herself. She points to them and says bubba. Poor thing doesn't realize yet that it is her!

Carter is changing every day. I cannot believe that our little man is 6 months old. He absolutely loves to eat. In fact, since we started giving him baby food at 4 months that is really all he wants to eat. Last week he rolled over for the first time. It is really funny to watch. He gets up on his side fairly easy then has to thrust himself the rest of the way over. I think his belly has gotten bigger since it eats so much food!! We also discovered that he is working in his 1st tooth. You cannot see it yet but you can feel it and hear it when he tries to drink out of a cup. Yes - a cup. He really likes to taste whatever the big people are drinking and since he is our second we let him!!

I will try to post some updated pictueres soon. I haven't quite figured out why I don't have time to take any new ones much less put them on my blog!!!

Thanksgiving Fun

We had a very laid back and enjoyable Thanksgiving this year. The weekend before Thanksgiving we got together with Jerrod's family. Katelyn loved birng at aunt Brenda's becuse there were cows and lots of tractors!! She convinced Jerrod to get in the "big one" with her!!

We spent Thanksgiving Day at home. My dad came over and spent most of the day with us. Caleb, Becky, Gavin and Grayson came over that afternoon and we enjoyed a wonderful meal - Jerrod cooked steaks!!

I think this is the first of many "driving" trips for these two. We are going to have our hands full when they really know what they are doing!!

Carter and Grayson hung out in the house most of the time. Carter was sweet enough to share his toys!!

Poor Little Carter

Even after I swore Carter would not be the neglected 2nd child, it seems it has turned out that way. As I was thinking about this, I realized I have not even changed the title of our blog - it still just says Jerrod, Melinda, and Katelyn. Luckily, he is so much more laid back than Katelyn ever thought about being!!! He just goes with flow and takes life as it comes. For example - last night I REALLY needed to get the dishes washed, toys put away and the laundry folded. I put Carter in the backpack and off we went. This is how I found him about an hour later - sorry Bob!!!

Carter's 1st Pictures

We went to have pictures taken on Wednesday. Carter was a natural in front of the camera. Katelyn was great as long as she did not have to sit next to her brother - what a stinker!!! We did manage to get 1 picture of the two of them that was decent. There were so many good ones of them individually, but here are a couple of my favorites.

Happy Halloween

On Friday, the kids went with me to school for a little bit to enjoy our annual parade of costumes. Carter was laid back as usual and Katelyn enjoyed dancing to the music. After the parade I took the kids to daycare where they enjoyed a small party with thier friends. Friday night we stopped by Gran Gran's for a bite to eat before heading to the track team's Halloween party. We did not go trick or treating on Saturday because I was still not feeling very well.

Our family with Linda. She is one of Jerrod's javelin throwers. This is the best picture I have of the kids together.
I have given up on trying to get a good picture of the two of them together. It was so much easier when Katelyn wasn't moving!!! I made their costumes this year - I don't think they are too terrible.

Carter - easy going as usual!!!

8 weeks old

I cannnot believe that our little man is already 8 weeks old. We had a visit with Dr. Wiley on Tuesday and everything is looking great!!! Carter weighs 12 lbs 10 oz and is 23 inches long. Needless to say, Dr. Wiley did not have any concerns about his eating or growth. I am sorry this picture is the wrong way - just turn your head to see his beautiful smile!

Katelyn is also doing well. She has kept Jerrod and I laughing the past couple of weeks. She is always on the move and keeps us entertained from the time she wakes up until it is time to go to bed!! I was so excited that she finally let me attempt to fix her hair. I know it is not beautiful, but I am trying!!!
We are so excited to meet the newest member of our family. Last Thursday, my brother and sister in law were blessed with the arrival Grayson Jack. It is very difficult to get them all to look at the camera at the same time so this is the best shot we have!!
